Isro, with this achievement, has broken a record previously held by the Russian Space Agency, which had launched 37 satellites in one go. PSLV-C37 was on its 39th mission and took off at 9:28 am on Wednesday morning. India's earth observation satellite was among the satellites that were launched. The other satellites were majorly from the USA (96) and one each from Switzerland, Israel, Kazakhstan, United Arab Emirates and Netherlands.

Musk had most recently tweeted that Tesla, his clean energy auto maker, could be coming to India by this summer.
