Mumbai (dna webdesk): The Gujarat Tourism Corporation has been promoting an unusual tourism package for the last few weeks in various cities of the country. Named as 'Modi Tourism', this unique package will take you in and around Vadnagar- the birthplace of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Gujarat.
In collaboration with Akshar Travels Private Limited, Gujarat Tourism launched this package in early January and it has reportedly become popular since.
The tour encompasses visits to Vadnagar Prathamik Kumar Shala--the primary school PM went to, Hatkeshwar Temple--where PM Modi spent time everyday, streets where he used to play with his friends and Sharmishtha Lake where PM Modi liked to spend time in his early childhood.
On the way to Vadnagar from Ahmedabad, tourists will also be taken to Modhera temple, the famous 11th century Sun Temple in Gujarat. The tour will also include an interaction with Modi's classmates who will speak about their school days with the prime minister.
The tourism company has named the package 'A Rise from Modi's Village'. The package will also include a visit to the famous Vadnagar Railway Station where PM Modi used to sell tea at the tea stall owned by his father.
