Bangalore(web team): The Land Acquisition Bill will be on the top on the BJP National Executive meet's agenda on Friday, say reports. Party President Amit Shah will preside over the meeting. Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Ministers, several State Chief Ministers, and deputy Chief Ministers of the party are to attend it.
The much debated bill for which the government had promulgated an ordinance in December 2014 has resulted in a dent in the party's image. The meeting will focus on discussing ways to improve the party's perception among the public on the issue.
There will be a powerpoint presentation that will show how the government's bill helps correct the problems of the earlier bill. The National Executives members will later spread the ideas among the public on how the bill will help the nation and change the notion that it is anti-farmer and pro-corporate.
The government's achievements will be talked about in the meeting and ways in which members of the party can communicate it to the nation will be chalked out.
Resolutions on political, social, economic and the foreign affairs will be taken-up for discussion.
It is being speculated that senior BJP leader LK Advani won't be delivering a speech at the meet. Reports say his name doesn't feature in the list.
Later in the evening, Prime Minister Narendra Modi will address a public rally.
